Yunnan Cancer Hospital

Yunnan Cancer Hospital, also known as Peking University Cancer Hospital Yunnan Hospital and the Third Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University, is a leading Grade 3A specialized cancer hospital in Yunnan Province, China. Established in 1984 and officially opened in 1992, the hospital integrates cancer prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, medical education and scientific research.

The hospital serves as a major regional cancer center and is home to the Yunnan Cancer Center and Yunnan Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Quality Control Center. It is also a National Health Commission cancer early diagnosis and treatment base, a national cancer clinical key specialty development institution and a national drug clinical trial institution for oncology.

The main campus covers approximately 79 mu, with a total construction area of approximately 246,000 square meters. It currently has 31 clinical departments, 12 medical technology departments and 1,498 authorized beds.

The hospital provides comprehensive cancer care covering surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, interventional oncology, breast cancer, thoracic cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancer, gynecological cancer, head and neck cancer, urological cancer, neurological tumors, bone and soft-tissue tumors and other specialized cancer services.

In 2024, Peking University Cancer Hospital Yunnan Hospital, the National Cancer Regional Medical Center, was officially established at the hospital, further strengthening its regional cancer diagnosis and treatment capabilities.
